Poems are the message. Everyone is welcome to bring a poem to share, written by themselves or someone else. What poems have guided you through joys or grief? What poem can you recite by heart, or remember exactly where you were the first time you heard it? Poetry is small enough to carry in your pocket, and large enough to hold the whole of our feelings, thoughts, and experiences.
The service will be located at the Washburn Memorial Park picnic pavilion. While there is some seating available, we encourage you to bring a lawn chair, dress for the weather, and bring your own refreshments for the service.
